OUR STORY

Sound Ground is a visionary, multi-faceted venture rooted in the principles of land stewardship, community, creative expression, and sustainable living. Set on 10 acres in central Texas, Sound Ground offers an immersive blend of camping, event hosting, music, education, and local agrarian experiences. Built upon an ethos that connects human well-being with the health of our planet, Sound Ground is designed to attract eco-conscious travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, and creative communities who seek a genuine connection with nature and one another.

Key offerings include:

  • Campsite Experiences: Two classifications—primitive and glamping—featuring distinct sites with plans to expand and elevate offerings.

  • Event Spaces: A private event space (Wildflower Meadow) and a public performance arena (Dragon Tree Stage) that will serve as community hubs.

  • On-Site and Virtual Market: A multi-phase market offering both virtual orders and, eventually, a physical market stand stocked with locally sourced and affiliate goods.

  • Animal Management: Rotational care of goats, chickens, and other livestock to enhance land health and provide fresh market goods.

  • Community & Long-Term Living: Rental options for RVs and an apartment, plus a future Wash House that will provide essential amenities.

  • Digital & Educational Initiatives: Online courses on planetary stewardship and self-reliance, complemented by active social media outreach and fundraising efforts.

  • Local Tours & Bike Rentals: Potential guided tours (via an e-bike and app system) to explore local attractions and scenic sites.

Vision & Mission

Vision:
To create a sanctuary where nature, art, and community coalesce—empowering individuals to reconnect with the earth, celebrate creativity, and drive sustainable change.

Mission:
Sound Ground is dedicated to nurturing environmental stewardship and community resilience through immersive, diverse experiences. By integrating outdoor living with music, education, and sustainable practices, Sound Ground inspires guests to reconnect with nature, embrace community interdependence, and pursue a holistic, healthier way of life.

Ethos and Philosophy

  • People Are Nature:
Recognizing that humans are an extension of nature, Sound Ground emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with the earth to avoid physical and mental dis-ease.

  • Dual Meaning of “Sound” and “Ground”:

    • Sound: Connotes wholeness, robust decision-making, and the vibrational frequencies—audible and non-audible—that arise from earth and music.

    • Ground: Signifies both the literal land on which Sound Ground is built and the grounding connection that stabilizes our lives.

  • Community Focus:
Change is achieved collectively. Sound Ground fosters a supportive community where shared skills, experiences, and efforts create lasting impact.

  • Sustainable Innovation:
The venture integrates renewable energy (e.g., solar-powered installations), local food systems, and digital outreach to create a self-sustaining, innovative hub.

Sound Ground is poised to become a dynamic hub where environmental stewardship, artistic expression, and community living converge. By offering diverse experiences—from immersive camping and sustainable living courses to live music events and local tours—Sound Ground not only creates a unique lifestyle destination but also drives meaningful change through sustainable practices and community collaboration.
